This is a leaf from one of my favourite neighbourhood trees. I love the fresh new growth, the white and pink candelabras of blossom and the shiny conkers. This painting serves as a memorial to this tree which was unfortunately so badly damaged in a storm it had to be removed by arborists, such a great shame to loose this large beautiful urban tree.
